Greenwood County
by C. Carson Parks

Terry Gilkyson and I went fly-fishing for a week or so in No. California on the Klamath River, above Yreka.  At a wide place on Route 96 we rented a cabin.  We'd get up in the morning, don our waders and walk to the river, fish an hour or so, take the trout to the creek-side restaurant, where the cook would fry the catch with some eggs.  Then, we'd sit with guitars and in the cabin and write.  First, I wanted a theme song for The Greenwood County Singers, and we batted this out.  I'm sure there were probably others that we worked on, but it was a write-off.
