Talk about songs taking a long time to write themselves! - - I originally thought this would be a bitter-sweet humorous divorce song  involving poor folks, but I couldn't "bring it home", so I sat on the chorus for maybe 5 years, "awaiting further light."  Finally, I decided that it didn't need a chorus or bridge, but just do like I did in "Cab Driver", and repeat verse after verse, developing the story, and let the first verse also be a chorus.
