One of the few 12/8 tunes I’ve written, hoping to capture the Rock ‘n’ Roll ballad feel of the late 50s, which I’ve felt was never really exploited enough. Perhaps Brian Wilson did the best, with “Surfer Girl, Upon the Shore, etc...” Anyway, I got that all tangled up with “A Cottage For Sale”, and the feelings of lost love, and you can’t go home again, and recapture the ‘good old days’, and this is what came out of the blender! It’s sort of wistful, yet funny, about selling the Harley, but conveys a certain mood.
