This is an obvious double entendre thing, but hardly very funny when you think about it! In Nashville, on the night of The Grammy Awards, a bunch of songwriters get together and have a “counter culture” thing they call “The GRIMY Awards.” They sing the worst songs they ever wrote. It’s often very funny, especially in the fact most songwriters are a little nuts anyway, and it can get a little sick sometimes. I have a CD of some of Cole Porter’s unknown tunes, and some of them are pretty damned bad! Even Beethoven’s Tenth Symphony could use improvements here and there!
