Say It Again Spiro

by C. Carson Parks

This was about Spiro Agnew, who was Vice President in the early Richard Nixon presidency.  The ex-governor of Maryland, who later resigned the office in the wake of charges of improprieties in some of his IRS filings, was a feisty speaker, often challenging the print media and TV news-people of being "supercilious intellectual snobs", and such other stop-and-think, "what does that mean" phrases, many conservatives, including me, had not had a real champion in many years, and enjoyed having an out- spoken spokesman.
